GRMS Infrastructure
Guest Room Management System infrastructure for hotels and hospitality projects — room by room, installed, tested and handed over.
We build the infrastructure. Specialist GRMS partners deliver the system — we coordinate with them so every room is wired, tested and ready for commissioning.

What is a guest room management system?
A guest room management system (GRMS) is the control layer inside a hotel room. It ties the lighting, air conditioning, curtains, door status, do-not-disturb and make-up-room signalling into one system the guest operates from a bedside or wall panel, and the hotel monitors from the front desk or building management system.
The system itself is software and hardware supplied by a specialist manufacturer or integrator. What makes it work is everything behind the wall — the control wiring, the containment, the power, the data runs and the interfaces to the HVAC and lighting. That is the layer AziAl builds.
What GRMS infrastructure actually involves
Every room is the same job repeated to a standard. Containment goes in, cabling is pulled to the thermostat, the panels, the door contact and the ceiling devices, terminations are made and labelled, and the room is tested before it is closed.
The room is then handed over to the GRMS integrator with the infrastructure proven, so commissioning is a configuration exercise rather than a fault-finding exercise. On a hotel floor plate that difference decides whether the programme holds.
Why the infrastructure decides the programme
Hotel rooms are delivered in sequence under pressure. A mislabelled cable or an untested run does not stay a small problem — it becomes a reopened room, a delayed floor and a commissioning team standing idle.
This is the foundational infrastructure. The guest room management system above only performs if the infrastructure underneath it was engineered, installed and tested properly.

Common questions
- What is a guest room management system (GRMS)?
- A guest room management system is the in-room control layer of a hotel. It brings lighting, air conditioning, curtains, door status and service signalling such as do-not-disturb and make-up-room under one system the guest controls from a room panel and the hotel monitors centrally.
- What is included in GRMS infrastructure?
- Containment, cabling infrastructure, electrical infrastructure, control wiring, HVAC control infrastructure, lighting control infrastructure, door and interface infrastructure, installation support, and testing and commissioning support — coordinated with the appointed GRMS integrator.
- Does AziAl supply the GRMS itself?
- No. AziAl builds the infrastructure the system runs on. The guest room management system is supplied and configured by a specialist manufacturer or integrator, and we coordinate with them so every room is wired, tested and ready for their commissioning.
- Can you work with our appointed GRMS integrator?
- Yes. A large part of this work is delivered for integrators and main contractors who need installation crews and an infrastructure scope they can rely on. We work to the integrator's device schedule and cabling specification.
- How is hotel room automation cabling handed over?
- Room by room. Each room is cabled, terminated, labelled and tested, then closed and handed over as a completed unit rather than left open for later rework, so floors can be released in sequence.
- Do you handle HVAC and lighting control as part of GRMS?
- We install the control infrastructure for both — the wiring and interfaces that let the guest room management system operate the fan coil unit, thermostat and lighting circuits in each room.
- Which properties do you deliver GRMS infrastructure for?
- Hotels and hospitality projects across the UAE, for hotel developers and operators, main contractors delivering hospitality projects, and GRMS integrators who need installation capacity.
